The 2011 NCAA season

Hello Italian Volleyball Fans,
I am very excited to bring you news from America in regards to indoor and beach volleyball!
The NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) volleyball season has concluded for the year. Last weekend, the final four universities battled it out for the NCAA Championship. This is one of the biggest events of the year in the United States. In the semifinals of the championship, the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) defeated Florida State University (FSU) and the University of Illinois (UI) defeated the University of Southern California (USC). For the championship match, UCLA defeated UI in four sets (25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 25-16). During the time of the NCAA Final Four Tournament, the AVCA Convention is happening, as well. The convention was a success this year, and many coaches participated in skills sessions and hospitality events for about four days.

At this time, some college senior players are looking to sign contracts to play in other countries, such as Italy. This is an exciting time for young players to begin their professional playing careers, and there are many talented players in the United States right now. In fact, if you would like to inquire about a college player to come play in Italy, please contact me at erin@323management.com. I would love to help you locate that player to see if they are interested in playing in Italy.

Thanks for reading my update. Stay tuned for more updates to come in the next few weeks!

Baci ed abbracci,

Erin Aldrich
